Mark Making

1. As this the artist of these pieces, what was your main objective?

My main objective was to make sure you could read the words I put down with the brushes.

1. What tools did we primarily use for this project?

I used the paintbrush tool and the eyedropper tool, as well as the pen tool.

1. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

Some challenges I faced during this project were making sure my words were light and dark enough so it looked like the original picture.

One of the requirements of this project was to make a custom paintbrush. How did you accomplish this and what kind of brushes did you make?

I accomplished this quite easily, although I had to re-do them 3 times because I didn’t make them the right color. I made my fonts relatively different so the whole piece wasn’t so monotone.

1. An important requirement for this project was about defining your values.Making sure each value does not blend with the others. There are multiple ways to go about this. How did you accomplish this?

I accomplished this by making sure I made each word darker or lighter depending on where it sat.
