Final Project

  1. For your final project, your directions were to choose one of three portrait styles, (Mark-Making, Low-Poly, or Vector) and digitally “weave” it with the original photo. What style did you choose and why? I chose mark making because I knew it would take the least amount of time, and I also thought it would look more interesting with much more contracting pictures.

  2. What tools did you primarily use for this project? I used the gradient tool and the selection tool.

  3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project? Some challenges I faced during this project was when I had filled too many squares with a gradient and didn’t include my mark making in my piece. So I had to start the project over from the beginning.

  4. In some cases, weaving two portraits together can be challenging because major details, like facial features, can become confusing or even lost in the process. Was this a challenge for you? Do you think you were successful with your weave technique? Why? No it was not a challenge for me due to the fact that I did mark making so I couldn’t have mixed up facial features. I think I was successful in my weaving process because you can clearly tell the difference between the original project and my mark making piece.
